Example
- Eczema: It tends to get worse with environmental changes and fatigue. It can be treated with proper steroid ointments and antihistaminic tablets.
- Heat rash: We often see it in the summer and it’s itchy. It can be treated with ointments and antihistaminic tablets.
- Acne: There are some good medications currently. So, they are used depending on your symptoms. You need to take them for a certain period.
- Hives: They appear and disappear in a certain while. You also have itchiness in some parts of your body. It can be treated with oral medications.
- Contact dermatitis (allergy reaction): It’s caused by make-up products and plants you do not touch normally. It can be treated with some ointments and antihistaminic tablets.
- Cold sore: It appears around your mouth and sometimes hurts you. Please be careful that the symptoms of cold sore are similar to mouth sore. Treatment can be done with an antivirus medication.
- Shingles: When you are little, you tend to have chickenpox. It’s caused by a virus called Herpes zoster. The virus stays inside your body even after the illness is cured and when you get older, it causes a different trouble ‘’shingles’’. The characteristic of shingles is as below. Rash appears only on one side of our body, and it hurts you. When you notice it, you should start to get proper treatment as soon as possible. In many cases, 7days supply of antivirus tablet, antibiotic ointment and some kinds of painkiller can help you. It could get worse if you don’t have suitable treatment at the right time. Generally, if the treatment goes well, it will be cured in a couple of weeks. On the other hand, if shingles are not cured in a couple of months, it will become postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). In that case, you might have conscious pain all day and, unfortunately, there will be no treatment to cure that completely.
- Wound (Injury): If it is a scratch, you need to wash it with tap water thoroughly. After that, it can be treated with antibacterial medications.
When you get a cut, you should press it with something like a tissue and gauze to stop the bleeding. If it doesn’t stop, several stitches might be needed under local anesthesia. - Insect bite: In many cases, it is quite itchy and there is a reddish swelling at the spot because of the allergy reaction. It can be treated with some ointments and antihistaminic tablets.
- Dry skin: It’s often caused in the fall and winter seasons in Japan. In many cases it becomes itchy around the whole body. It’s a body constitution and can be treated with some cream and antihistaminic tablets. Steroid ointment will also help if you have a severe case.
